Ukraine former foreign minister under investigation over financing ties with Gaddafi

Ukrainian authorities began on Thursday investigating claims that former Prime Minister, Yulia Tymoshenko received funds from Muammar Gaddafi to fund her campaign.

Vladimir Ariyev, member of the Ukrainian parliament, said the Anti-Corruption Office began to investigate evidence about Tymoshenko receiving 4 million euros from Gaddafi in 2010, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.

The French authorities have arraested former President Nicolas Sarkozy on charges of receiving funds from Muammar Gaddafi to support his campaign in 2007.
