African Sahel countries call for countering effects of Libyan crisis

The G5 Sahel called on Wednesday, in the final communique of the summit held in Mauritania, to continue efforts to achieve security and stability in the Sahel region.

According to the Russian agency Sputnik, the Sahel countries discussed, during the summit challenges facing the region because of what they described as “the effects of the Libyan crisis.”

The G5 Sahel countries are composed of Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and Chad.
