Member of the Democratic Party’s Policies Committee, Saleh al-Mismari, said that the Libyans now have an opportunity to create a great consensus and reunite the country, after the unity government failed in this and was unable to work in all parts of Libya.
Al-Mismari stressed the need to take advantage of the military consensus represented in the 5 + 5 Committee, and the initiatives of the agreement between the central governors in Al-Bayda and Tripoli, to form a new government that operates in all Libyan soil, with major tasks focused on unifying institutions, establishing security, resolving living crises, and preparing for elections. .
Al-Mismari pointed out that the visit of the Turkish ambassador to the eastern region indicates that many actors have bypassed the situation of the Libyan conflict, and imply a desire to turn the page on wars and divisions.
Al-Mismari added that we should not listen to the parties that seek to maintain the status quo and oppose every solution to get out of the crisis, pointing out that these parties had previously opposed the Skhirat and Geneva agreements, and then rushed to join them.
