France is looming to impose sanctions on Libya over migrant issue

On Wednesday French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, said that France had called on the Security Council to meet to discuss “treatment of migrants” in Libya.

At a meeting of the French National Assembly, Le Drian threatened to impose sanctions on Libya if its justice system proves to be “impotent”. He also called on the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations refugee agency to publish details regarding the “smuggling of migrants” in Libya.
