UN Envoy Ghassan Salame:  The condition of representation in the summit  reaffirms a political solution, not a military one

On Tuesday UN envoy Ghassan Salame said that the mission is preparing for parliamentary, municipal and presidential elections, regardless of what happens in the elements of the political agreements.

In a press statement, Salame said that the aim of the talk is to amend the current political agreements and to produce an interim authority to take over until the next elections. If this is not possible, the current authority will continue and we will prepare for a comprehensive national conference that brings together all the Libyans; provided that the representatives support the political solution rather than the military solution.
