Member of the Supreme Council of State, Ahmed Lanqi, said on Tuesday that the council members’ statement regarding their opposition to the constitutional amendment and changing the government represents only the members who signed it.
Lanqi stressed, in press statements, that the statement of the 54 members does not represent the opinion of the Supreme Council of State, adding that some members are trying to spread the differences of the Council in the media to confuse the political scene, but we accept the dispute and respect the other opinion only, and it has no official status.
It is worth noting that 54 members of the Supreme Council of State considered, in a statement, that what was voted on in the parliament session is an incomplete procedure until it is discussed and voted on in the Supreme Council of State.
