The US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, confirmed that his country will participate in the efforts of the United Nations to find a political solution to the Libyan crisis through negotiation.
Norland during a speech addressed to the Libyans on Friday, said that his
mission is to work with all parties in the country To form a unified government
that guarantees stability and prosperity, pointing out that the United States
will support the Libyan people until it reaches this.
Richard pointed out that for the first time in two years that there is now a US
ambassador to Libya appointed by the US president and ratified by the Senators,
explaining that he will soon work from the capital Tripoli.
It is noteworthy that the new US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland pledged
on August 15 this year to work for an immediate end to the current conflict in
the country.
