“Al-Araby Al-Jadeed”: Al-Sayeh requested a public session for the deputies to dismiss the charges against the commission.

Al-Araby Al-Jadeed revealed, from private parliamentary sources, on Saturday, that the head of the High Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, stressed the need for the upcoming parliament session to be broadcast live through the media, because of his desire to dismiss the charges that affected the commission’s progress in preparing for the elections.

The sources explained to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Al-Sayeh’s approval to appear before the parliament session, next Monday, came after a number of contacts that were made to arrange the session, to answer questions, including the commission’s bias towards political parties and personalities running for the presidential elections against others.

Al-Araby Al-Jadeed sources expected that the session would include a “hot” confrontation between the Parliament members and the commission, days after they exchanged accusations regarding who is responsible for the failure to hold the elections that were scheduled to take place on the 24th of last December.

It is worth noting that the deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, invited the members of the House of Representatives to attend the next Monday session at its headquarters in Tobruk.
