Sawan: Egypt Is Our Greatest Neighbor, And Libya Would Never Be A Security Threat To It

Head of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohamed Sawan, said that Egypt is the “Greatest Neighbor” and it must ensure the stability in Libya, confirming that there is no security threat from Libya to Egypt.

“There is an internal division in the Egyptian authority over dealing with the Libyan file,” Sawan said in an interview with Libya Al-Ahrar channel. He also spoke to the “wise voice” in Egypt to pay the interests of Egypt linked to the stability of Libya and overcome those linked to some middle-eastern countries.

“Egypt should consider Libya a whole unified counrty from Musaed to Ras Ejdeir,” he said.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri said in previous statements that his country supports the political solution led by the United Nations Mission in Libya.
