UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, on Saturday. said that the Libyans now have the opportunity to rule of reason or remain prisoners of the past.
“The time for the truth and choice has come to you, either to build together a bright future for your children, to be distracted by simple nothings or to save your country from its stalemate, to accept division or choose to remain a single, whole nation,” Salame said in a tweet from his official account, addressing Libyans.
The UN envoy, Ghassan Salame, has sponsored the agreement between the President of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj and the leader of the Karama Forces, Khalifa Hifter, who concluded that the military institution is subject to civil authority, ending the transitional stages and holding democratic elections in the country.
