Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that “the bottom line” is who will be chosen by the Libyan people, expressing his hope that a good result will be reached as soon as possible.
Erdogan added, in a press statement after his return from the Emirates, that his relationship with the Prime Minister appointed by Parliament Fathi Pashaga is good, as well as with the President of the Council of State Khalid Al-Mishri and Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbaiba.
Erdogan added that they prefer the option of elections in Libya and support holding them so that the Libyans can choose the form of government they want, noting that forming a government for a year and a half is not an appropriate approach for Libya.
The Turkish President stressed that his country will continue to provide all forms of support to Libya, including elections, to ensure a prosperous and peaceful future for the Libyan people.
