Member of the Supreme Council of State, Saad bin Sherada, said that the session of the Supreme Council scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. For security reasons, and for the safety of members.
Bin Sherada explained, in press statements on Saturday, that some were saying that the meeting of the Supreme State Council was to vote on the constitutional amendment, and this is not true, but rather a consultative session only, stressing that the vote took place in previous sessions.
And “Bin Sherada” indicated that the recommendations for the prime minister were already made after amending the constitutional declaration by the House of Representatives, indicating that the expected session of the State Supreme Council will not lead to a decision or vote, and it is only to satisfy the opposing members, nothing more.
It is worth noting that the House of Representatives assigned Fathi Bashagha on February 10 to form a new government, and present it to them within a period not exceeding 15 days from the date of the assignment.
