Al Safrani: Kubis’ resignation calls us to stick to the election track.

Member of the Supreme Council of State, Abdul Salam al-Safrani, said in a statement to Arraed on Wednesday that the resignation of the UN envoy to Libya, “Jan Kubis” at this delicate time in the Libyan crisis and at this sensitive stage, calls on us all to adhere to the elections track.

Al-Safrani stressed that there is no solution to the Libyan crisis other than the elections, because the Libyans have tried all solutions through dialogue and consensus, calling on everyone to adhere to the election track, and work to make it a success in order to get out of the crises the country is going through.

It is worth noting that the Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, announced that the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Libya, Jan Kubis, submitted his resignation from his position without explaining the reasons for the resignation.

Foreign Policy: Kubis’ resignation is a blow to the efforts of the international community.
