The Security Council holds two meetings within 24 hours on the Libyan issue.

    The UN Security Council announced that it will hold a meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday to hear two briefings on the situation in Libya.

    In a statement, the Council indicated that the session will be devoted to hearing a briefing from the International Criminal Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, and her report on the situation in Libya.

    And press sources suggested that Bensouda’s briefing would address the candidacy of Saif Gaddafi, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, for the presidential elections.
