The report of the UN experts revealed that Western mercenaries received $80 million paid by Haftar in exchange for his use of them in the assassinations of political and military officials in Tripoli in 2019, according to investigations conducted by five countries, including the United States of America.
The report revealed that the mercenaries used by Haftar used security companies based in the UAE to provide them with weapons and aircraft, but the tasks they sought failed.
According to the American newspaper, The Intercept, the FBI is also conducting in-depth investigations into the sale of Jordanian helicopters to Khalifa Haftar, to be used by the assassination team led by Eric Prince.
The report added that the FBI wants to investigate a British general who served as an advisor to the King of Jordan and helped stop the arms sale.
It is worth noting that in March 2021, a commission was formed to sue the Emirati company Black Shield for its involvement in deceiving and transferring more than 600 Sudanese youths to fight with Haftar’s militia.
