The Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, issued a decision to suspend the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, from work and refer him to the administrative investigation for the second time in less than two months.
According to the decision, Sanalla did not abide by the procedures and controls for obtaining prior permission from the Minister of Oil and Gas when undertaking any official work task, and did not submit the necessary report on internal tasks, in addition to his failure to adhere to the serial administrative correspondence by ignoring the rules and regualtions of the Ministry oil and gas.
Aoun confirmed that Sanalla had violated the law and assigned a member of the National Oil Corporation’s board of directors the duties of the chairman of the corporation’s board of directors by violating the legislation regulating the work of the National Oil Corporation, according to the decision.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, suspended the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, from work last August, and decided to refer him to an administrative investigation, on the grounds of his travel outside the country without obtaining the approval of the competent minister.
