French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that the Wagner Group of Russian mercenaries are waging a war on Russia’s behalf, even if Russia denies, no one doubts that.
The minister added – in a statement to AFP 5-Monday, that “Wagner” when they enter a country they multiply violations, extortion and sometimes pounce in order to replace the authority of the country, stressing that they are people who violate international law and weaken international sovereignty, indicating that they are involved in the conflict in Mali and are working to confiscate state finances ability in order to obtain their wages.
It is worth noting that the Wagner Group is fighting alongside Haftar in Libya and is still present until now, as it is accused of committing crimes and violations, including planting mines in civilian homes during the attack on the capital, Tripoli, in 2019.
