Norland: The December 24 elections will form a government that will control all of Libya.

The US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, said on Monday that one of his country’s main goals is to help the Libyans conduct fair elections with results widely accepted by society.

Norland added – during an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper – that the December 24 elections will form a strong government in the country; To impose its control over the entire Libyan lands and borders, and to provide strong economic and political growth, which will prevent all terrorist and extremist activities.

The US ambassador expressed his confidence to establish legal legislation soon to organize the presidential and parliamentary elections, especially after the High National Elections Commission completed all the technical arrangements.

It is worth noting that the US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, said in early September that the Libyans do not want to repeat previous scenes of civil strife and armed conflicts, stressing the need to stabilize the country with the elections scheduled for next December.

The Presidential Council promises elections will be held on time, and the HoR is in the process of announcing the Parliamentary Elections Law.

Al-Tabalqi: The House of Representatives election law will be issued next week to block the way for obstructionists.
