Di Maio: Our goal is to get the mercenaries out of Libya, and they are a source of great concern

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said on Saturday that their goal is to speed up the mechanism for the exit of foreign mercenaries from Libya, as they are a source of great concern.

Di Maio added, in statements reported by the Italian agency “ANSAMED”, that “Wagner” mercenaries tried to expand outside the Libyan borders, noting that he shared the French side’s concern that mercenary companies and foreign regular armies should leave that region.

It is worth noting that a meeting will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Libya next Monday.
