The spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Stephane Dujarric,” said that the issuance of a Security Council resolution to support the ceasefire agreement in Libya, would benefit the achievement of peace and stability in Libya.

“Dujarric” said Wednesday, in a press conference held in New York, that the swift and unified voice of the Security Council is always beneficial to the Libyan parties and our efforts to achieve peace and stability.

It is worth noting that the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5) called on Tuesday the Security Council to expedite the issuance of a binding resolution to implement what was reached in the Geneva Agreement.
