EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini said the European Union is ready to cooperate in the field of health with Libya, sending a team of different specialties to the country, in addition to treating Libyan patients in European hospitals.
During a meeting in Tripoli with the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mogherini said the EU is ready to allocate scholarships to Libyan students in European universities, activate joint committees with Libya and find a comprehensive solution to the illegal immigration file.
In a related context, Al-Saraj agreed with Mogherini on the importance of a unified European position on the political issues in Libya and that the elections should be conducted under the auspices of the United Nations.
The President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani announced on Monday the allocation of one billion euros for Libya to move the wheel of economy and development, support for the health sector and the holding of elections.
