Mellitah Oil call for release of their colleagues kidnapped from Sharara oilfield

Employee of Mellitah Oil condemned on Sunday the kidnapping of four of their colleagues from station 186 in Sharara oilfield, demanding their immediate release.

In a statement, the employees said that the kidnapped are considered a neutral party and are far from any political, military or partisan disputes, expressing their categorical refusal to engage them in any quarrels to reach regional or individual ambitions.

The employees demanded the National Oil Corporation, the oil installations guards and all officials and dignitaries the immediate and rapid intervention to release the kidnapped, pointing out that the continued situation will lead to a halt in oil production.

The armed group kidnapped on Saturday, four employees after storming Sharara oilfield, before the release of two of them.
