Hamidiya patrol rescues 200 migrants off the coast of Garabulli

Hamidiya patrol of Tripoli branch rescued 200 illegal immigrants of different nationalities, who were on board a large wooden boat in Garabulli area.

The Libyan navy spokesperson, Ayoub Qassem said the engine of the boat crashed and the number of immigrants on board was large, adding that the patrol used a small rubber boat has in the rescue operation.

Qassem added that the patrol carefully escorted the boat full of migrants until it brought it to the beach in Garabulli and informed the coast guard point in it to complete the extradition procedures for the illegal immigration control.

The rescue operation was 25 miles in the Libyan territorial waters, northeast of Garabulli area.
