NOC chairman says what Haftar did is no different of “criminal” Al-Jidran

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) chairman, Mustafa Sanallah said Haftar’s decision to hand over oil ports to the parallel institution is no different of what Al-Jidran Forces did, calling on the Government of National Accord (GNA) and international partners to take action against Haftar’s resolution.

In a press release on Monday, Sanallah said that Operation Dignity leadership missed an excellent opportunity to serve the national interest but placed itself above the law, adding that Haftar turned his back on the Paris Agreement, Libya’s interest and the road toward peace.

The NOC chairman stressed that the actions of Hafar’s Forces are illegal and violate Security Council resolutions, Libyan law and the Penal Code, pointing out that the institution is the only legitimate body and a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

He pointed out that the GNA and its international partners will move to stop exports that violate international law in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2362.

Operation Dignity, Khalifa Haftar, announced, according to his spokesperson Ahmad Al-Mesmari, the handover of oil facilities to the parallel oil company in Benghazi.
