HOR member reveals postponement of Paris meeting on political situation in Libya

Misurata representative in the House of Representatives (HOR), Fathi Bashagha revealed on Tuesday the postponement of the meeting in France to consult on the political situation in Libya to next week.

Bashagha said in a statement to ArraedLG, the meeting is aimed at Misurata deputies elected from the House of Representatives and the High Council of State (HCS) and members of Misurata municipal council and the elected bodies from the city.

He added that these parties will discuss the political impediment in Libya, stressing that this meeting is an extension of previous meetings and comes within the framework of consultation only.

The French presidency called on political and military leaders from the city of Misurata to hold a meeting with French officials from the Ministries of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Parliament and Government. The meeting was scheduled to take place on June 20 and 21 in Paris.
