HOR Speaker says GNA is rejected by MPs

Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Aqila Saleh said, the committee composed by the council, the Interim Government, the parallel bank and the Haftar Forces refused in Paris to recognize the Government of National Accord (GNA).

In a speech, Saleh described the Interim Government as “the legitimate government” emanating from the House of Representatives, saying that the GNA is “parallel government and rejected by the nation’s representatives.”

The four Libyan parties met in Paris, and announced the agreement on a number of points, including the unification of institutions, the termination of parallel bodies and holding parliamentary and presidential elections before the end of the current year.
