British BP and Italian Eni confirm return of exploration operations in Libya

British Petroleum and Italian energy giant Eni confirmed the near return to resume exploratory activities in Libya after operation were ceased, because of the security conditions in the country.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on its official website on Saturday, it had expressed willingness to provide all necessary assistance and facilities to enable the two companies to return to their various activities.

A meeting was held and attended by the General Counsel for Exploration and Legal Affairs of the British Petroleum Company BP and the Chief Executive Officer of North Africa at Eni.
