Tunisian Consulate resumes work from Tripoli

The Government of National Accord (GNA) Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday the Tunisian consulate resuming work from Tripoli.

The Ministry’s media office said in a statement to ArraedLG, the Consul General of Tunisia has started duties with eight diplomatic staff to provide services to the Tunisian community in Libya and Libyan citizens.

In addition, the office confirmed preparations of the Libyan-Tunisian Executive Committee meetings in June.

The Tunisian consulate in Tripoli has been closed since 2015, due to the security situation in the country.
