EU Air Safety sending team to assess air safety in Libya

The European Union Aviation Safety Policy announced it will send a specialized team during the summer to assess air safety in Libya.

This came during a meeting in the Belgian capital Brussels on Friday between the Government of National Accord (GNA) Transport Minister, Milad Matouq and the European Aviation Safety Coordination Committee, where they agreed the team would submit its report to the committee at its next meeting.

The European Union prohibits Libyan aircraft from flying or landing at its airports.
