Misurata-Tawergha Agreement Committee affirms commitment to implement the agreement

The Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of the Misurata-Tawergha Agreement decided on Tuesday to initiate the agreement’s terms set between the two cities and accelerate their implementation, stressing that it is seeking to achieve the return of the displaced residents of Tawergha to their city as soon as possible.

The Committee discussed at a meeting in Tripoli, the latest developments and obstacles that prevented the return of the displaced people of Tawergha to their city.

An armed group from Misurata prevented on 1 February the return of the people of Tawergha to their homes on the pretext of violating the terms of the agreement between the two cities.
