UNICEF sponsors a workshop on peace in Libya

The first session of the “Positive Peace” workshop, sponsored by UNICEF in Tunis, started on Monday with the participation of youth from all the cities of Libya.

According to the organization’s official page, the first session was about the measurement of peace, in cooperation with the Institute of Economy and Peace and with the support of the Italian Embassy in Libya under the “Nicosia Initiative”.

UNICEF pointed out that the workshop will be held for 4 days in the framework of the UN’s efforts to consolidate the discourse of peace and reject hate speech in Libya, with the participation of 180 young men and women.

In early March, UNICEF announced the participation of 322 children, including displaced children and those of migrants, in child-friendly activities in Tripoli
