Zuwara Security Directorate stops attempt to smuggle tobacco to Tunisia

The Zuwara Security Directorate spokesperson, Hafez Muammar said on Thursday, the Directorate security members seized 19 Tunisian vehicles loaded with tobacco trying to smuggle it to Tunisia.

Muammar told ArraedLG, the owners of the cars “escaped leaving their vehicles behind,” adding that the cars were confiscated, and the case was referred to the relevant authorities to complete the investigations.

The confiscation operation took place in cooperation with the Customs Control Authority at the Ras-Ajdir port and the Abu Kammash gate of the Zuwara Security Directorate.
