CBL: Tripoli Court of Appeal annulled the Audit Bureau’s decision

The Tripoli Court of Appeal, the Administrative Judicial Department, annulled on Monday the decision of the Audit Bureau regarding the suspension of employees from the Central Bank of Libya (CBL).

The Central Bank of Libya said in a statement on Monday, the issuance of this ruling refuted rumors promoted against the Central Bank and its employees exploiting the Audit Bureau decision.

The CBL added that the ruling of the court acquitted the employees suspended from work of any charges, describing the decision of the Audit Bureau in contravention of legal procedures, according to the statement.

The Audit Bureau issued a decision in November of last year to suspend the director of the banks supervision department at the CBL, Mokhtar Al-Tawil and his deputy AbdulHafiz Treble on charges of using authority to harm state interests and obstruct the work of the Bureau.
