On Tuesday, Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous announced that the Security Force of Sirte had freed a kidnapped man on Monday and arrested members of an armed gang after raiding their headquarters in Sirte.
According to Al-Bonyan Al-Marsous’s media office’s official page, during the operation it appeared that the gang was involved in an illegal drug trade. Security Forces seized money and weapons during the operation.
The Sirte Security Force was commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior in the Government of National Accord to secure the city in October.
