40,000 immigrants rescued at sea during the first quarter of 2017

The report on the International Protection of Illegal Immigrants in Italy shows that 40,000 immigrants were rescued at sea since April of last year.
According to the report, which was covered by the Italian news agency Aki on Wednesday, the arrival of boats for illegal immigration on the Italian coast decreased by 30% compared to last year. The report also showed that most of the immigrants departed through Libya.
