President of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj:  The “elimination of criminals is necessary” and the government will compensate those displaced from Al-Jafara

Fayez al-Sarraj, the President of the Presidential Council, attributed the “cleansing” of Al-Jafara from crime to concerted efforts at bringing security and stability to the region.

In a statement released on Thursday, Al-Sarraj said that he had issued instructions to activate the security directorates in Al-Jafara and to return state institutions; reassuring the people of Al-Jafara that he will work to meet their needs.

Al-Sarraj called on residents of the region who were displaced to return to their homes; promising that the Government of National Accord will compensate those affected.

Al-Sarraj warned outlaws against returning to Al-Jafara; threatening to eliminate criminals in order to help Libya overcome its’ current crises.
