Britain to provide the Government of National Accord with equipment worth nearly $4 million for mine clearance

The British government provided $4.9 million worth of mine clearance equipment to the Government of National Accord in order to help make #Sirte safe.

On Thursday, the British embassy released a statement on its Facebook page saying that Libyan engineers would be trained on how to use the equipment provided by ‘Janos Technology Inc’ in order to remove the explosives and dangers in Sirte and other parts of Libya.

The British ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, said that the equipment was a concrete sign of Britain’s commitment to help the citizens of Sirte, Benghazi and other areas to rebuild their lives after the defeat of ISIS.
