Italian Ambassador to Libya Peroni: The UN Action Plan is an opportunity for reconciliation between Libyan parties

Italian Ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Peroni confirmed that the UN plan of action is an opportunity to achieve reconciliation between Libyan parties.


On Monday, Peroni told Anatolia news agency that there was a great desire on the part of all parties to achieve this reconciliation quickly; adding that it was impossible to wait any longer due to the suffering experienced by citizens.
Peroni explained that Italy and other countries in the international community are working to urge Libyan parties to make significant progress towards national reconciliation.


The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, launched a road map on September 20th aimed at stabilizing Libya during a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations .
