School resumed in Sabha after being postponed due to clashes

The official in Sabha Education Department, Mohamed Ismail confirmed on Sunday the resumption of school in the city, after it was postponed last week; because of the security situation in southern city.

Ismail said the students turn out to school after the announcement is low, referring to the security situation in the city and lack of fuel as the reason behind it, adding that a number of schools were taken by some displaced families as shelters.

He explained that the Office addressed the Sabha Municipal Council about providing another place for displaced families, and to evacuate schools for students; to complete the remainder of the current school year.

Sabha witnessed armed clashes for several weeks resulted in the displacement of hundreds of families, who toke schools as shelters.
