Bensouda: We Did Not find any Evidence to Show that Those Who were Killed by Al-Werfali were Not Tried

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Fatou Bensouda confirmed that the Pre-Trial Chamber found no evidence to suggest that the ones who were executed by the commander of  Hifter Forces Mahmoud Al-Werfali in Benghazi had been tried a legitimate trial, military or not.

At a UN Security Council session, on Friday, Bensouda said that the people killed by Al-Werfali were civilians unable to fight and did not take part in the hostilities.

Al-Werfali appeared in video clips carrying out illegal executions of those he described as terrorists who destabilized security in Benghazi.

The International Criminal Court issued in August last year, a warrant for the arrest of the commander of the forces of Hifter Mahmoud Al-Werfali requesting Hifter to hand him over.
