The Italian Foreign Minister: the German Chancellor “Merkel” will attend the Palermo conference

Italian Foreign Minister Enzo Mauviro Milanese has confirmed that the German Chancellor Angela Merkel will be among the foreign leaders attending the Palermo conference on Libya in November.

“The meeting will be held in the capital of Sicily on November 12 and 13, with the “participation of major parties from the inside and outside Libya,” he said, in a press statement on the sidelines of a conference in Florence, Italy. Adding, that Russia and France have pledged to send high-level representatives to the conference.

Italy has invited the President of the Presidential Council Faiz Al-Sarraj, the President of the Supreme Council of State Khaled Al-Mashri, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Aguila Saleh, and the Commander of the Al-Karama Forces Khalifa Hifter, to attend the Palermo conference.
