Security Council: Banning the illegal export of oil until July 2022.

The UN Security Council unanimously extended the ban on the illegal export of oil in Libya until July 30, 2022.

On Saturday, the Council called on all states and members of the United Nations to fully comply with the arms embargo, travel bans and assets freeze, and not to intervene in the conflict or take measures that lead to an exacerbation of the conflict.

The Council extended the mandate of the Libya Sanctions Committee Panel of Experts until August 15, 2022.

It is worth noting that the Security Council, on Friday, unanimously adopted a resolution calling on the executive authorities in Libya and the relevant institutions, including Parliament, to take the measures stipulated in the roadmap to hold the presidential and parliamentary elections on December 24th.

A big welcome for the Security Council’s resolution calling for holding the elections on time.

Sources reveal that the 5 + 5 committee has agreed with the UN mission to gradually begin deploying international observers to several centers in Sirte and Al Jufrah.
