Al Manifi renews his commitment to hold elections on time.

The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, during his meeting with the President of the European Council, “Charles Michel,” affirmed his commitment to holding the elections as scheduled in next December.

For his part, “Michel” stressed the readiness of the EU countries to provide all means of support for the stability of Libya, and to hold the elections on time – according to the media office of the President of the Council .

Al-Manifi discussed with the President of the European Council in the Crown Prince’s Palace in Tripoli ways of cooperation in the migration file and securing the maritime borders with Europe.

It is worth noting that the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, stressed on March 22, in a telephone conversation with the President of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, that elections should be held on December 24 and an put an end to the division that lasted about 7 years.
