Dialysis center in Zliten suffering due to power cuts

The assistant director of the dialysis center in Zliten, Al-Mabrouk Bin Haider said on Tuesday that the desalination plants pumping the dialysis machines at the center were ruined as a result of power cuts for more than 38 hours.

Haidar said in a statement to ArraedLG that the center during the recent period suffers from a shortage of equipment, medicines and supplies, noting that they have addressed several parties to help, but none responded.

The assistant director explained that they have established a charity called “Good people support health,” and had it not for this organization; the center would have been a long time ago.

The dialysis center in Zliten receives about 100 patients daily, in addition to patients who are under follow-up.
