Attack on Oil Corporation shows fragility of security situation in the country, says NOC chairman

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) chairman, Mustafa Sanalla said on Monday “the attack on the headquarters of the Corporation shows the fragility of the security situation in the country”.

Sanalla stressed the importance of additional security measures to ensure that the NOC is able to withstand those who seek to stop Libya’s recovery and called on all parties to commit themselves to bringing the perpetrators to justice.

He explained that the attack, which left two dead employees, will not affect the production processes, stressing that the human loss is much more important than the material losses suffered by NOC.

On Monday, an armed group targeted the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli, killing two people and wounding 10.
