Italy’s Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Perrone welcomed the cease-fire agreement in Tripoli in the city of Zawiya.
Perrone said on Twitter, this agreement is an important step, calling on all parties to implement it fully and continue to work under the leadership of the United Nations envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame for the security of Tripoli and its people.
On Tuesday, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya announced a ceasefire agreement, an end to all hostilities, protection of civilians, preservation of public and private property and the reopening of Mitiga International Airport.
