The World Peace Index 2018 ranked Libya at 157 out of 163 countries included in the new version that takes factors of crime rates, violence, civil wars and economic impacts on countries as key criteria for assessment.
The index showed that Libya was remarkably the only country that has dropped very rapidly in the last decade from being among the countries in the top half of the index.
Libya was in the top half of the index in 2008; since then it has fallen and placing at 157 from 2017.
