Washington hands over Tripoli antiquities lost half a century ago

The Libyan embassy in the United States received an antique pottery artifacts from the Germanic civilization in Libya.

The Libyan foreign ministry said on Wednesday that the pieces of archaeological pottery were handed over by American citizen Robert Haugi and has been kept since the sixties of the last century, and is part of the Libyan Germanic civilization.

Libya signed a memorandum of understanding with the United States on the protection of cultural property in February.
