We are committed to making Libyan ports safe, says Italian official

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Emanuela Del Rey said there was a strong commitment from Italy to make Libya’s ports safe.

Del Rey said during a meeting in the Belgian capital Brussels on Monday that they are doing everything possible to ensure the necessary security conditions, as well as to achieve stability in the region.

The spokesperson for the European Executive branch, Natasha Bertoud said on Monday it does not consider the Libyan ports safe and eligible to receive immigrants.
