Salvini: We will close our ports to ships coming from Libya

Italian Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini announced on Sunday that his country wants to close its ports to ships carrying migrants rescued off the coast of Libya.

Salvini said on Twitter he would demand during the meeting of European interior ministers in Austria to close Italy’s ports to international missions.

The Italian Interior Minister visited Tripoli last week, which is the first visit by an Italian official in the new government to Libya.
